My nephew, Scott Aldous, is running the London Marathon this year to raise funds for the Pilgrims Hospices.
Scott is running in memory of his mum, Jane, my sister, who was looked after by the wonderful caring staff at the Pilgrims Hospices.
Obviously this is dear to my heart too, and that is why JF Spares is supporting Scott by sponsoring him and helping him raise awareness to raise funds for this great organisation.

I’ve just had a very enjoyable break – 10 day holiday with Mrs F. We flew out to Tenerife and stayed in a very nice apartment overlooking the sea. Milkshake Madness Recently my elderly mother has taken a liking to eating Big Macs. I’m not so much a fan myself but am happy to take her out to the local Maccas for a Big Mac meal as a treat and it’s nice to spend some time together. Personally, I prefer a milkshake and here’s a problem, you see on the last few occasions the milkshake machine at the local Maccas hasn’t been working. Apparently, according to Stacey on the drive thru checkout, it’s always breaking down and they are waiting for parts to fix it. In my mind I’m thinking that selling milkshakes is probably a ‘good earner’ and to have the machine not working is lost revenue – not a good place to be! This week I attended the EAG (Entertainment, Attractions and Gaming) exhibition at the Excel in London. I like to go each year and see what’s new and upcoming within the trade. More importantly though, I gives me the opportunity to see and chat with a lot of my contacts, suppliers and customers, old and new. Sometimes I meet a customer who’s been buying from me for years but we’ve never actually met – it’s always good to put a face to a name.
